What is the Alabama Institute of Medicine (AIM)?

Welcome to AIM-4-Cure!

The Alabama Institute of Medicine (AIM) is a non-profit organization (501c3) committed to funding the support of research cures for chronic disease and injury. Our mission is simple: to undertake and support initiatives at research institutions that focus on developing new therapeutic methodologies for the treatment of all disease and injury.

AIM was founded by two patient advocates, best friends, who want to see a better life and future for their children and other loved ones who suffer from disease and injury.

Our goal is to help change the future of our children and so many others in the world living with disease and injury.  Executive Director Roman Reed sustained a spinal cord injury in 1994.  AIM Vice President Tory Minus was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease in 2010.  Both have parents and siblings who have suffered from cancer.   Please help us make a difference in the people’s lives affected by disease and injury by helping to advance medicine to eradicate these debilitating conditions.

Alabama Institute of Medicine will:

  • Support regenerative medicine initiatives and regenerative medicine programs in Alabama
  • Support the Alabama health care system with the goal of reducing long term health care cost burden on Alabama through the development of therapies that ease suffering and save lives
  • Provide a great way for Alabama constituents to honor or memorialize a loved one affected by disease or injury by making a tax deductible contribution to the fund with the proceeds being used to benefit research for the young and elderly of our state
