The Alabama Institute of Medicine is funding 3 research projects selected for their promise in developing new strategies to treat chronic disease and injury through stem cell research techniques. AIM will spend nearly one million dollars over two years on these grants through AIM’s Research Grant Program, in addition to another six-figure grant season to begin this summer.
After the first year of funding, we ask for updates on the progress of this research. The results reported are representative of one year of progress and are subject to change as the research progresses toward its stated goals. We are excited the results to date highlight the diversity of this potential lifesaving research and the promising directions it has already taken.
