The surprising hobbies of celebs who love everything from daggers to Bingo
We all have our strange quirks and in some cases, rather strange hobbies. The things we love like crazy which make us a little different from the pack.
If you are Angelina Jolie your hobby is a touch on the dark side, she collects daggers “My mom took me to buy my first daggers when I was 11 or 12 and I’ve already bought Maddox some things.” Then you have good old Johnny Depp who collects limited edition Barbie dolls, yes Captain Jack Sparrow has a Barbie collection that little girls would kill for. Jay Leno has a collection of classic cars those girl’s fathers would kill for. Tom Cruise is a massive fan of fencing – he is rumored to have once enjoyed fencing with Brad Pitt when they were both still couple up with their exes. Margaret Beckett’s hobby of choice? Caravanning. Yes, that is a thing, she likes to take holidays in a caravan in case you needed the 101 there, like we did. Rod Steward likes models, well railway models that is. There is a lot that goes into the hobby, some take it as far as painting their sets. It’s Fashion design for Antonio Banderas, World of Warcraft for Mila Kunis and snowboarding for Cameron Diaz.
And then you have a list of celebs as long as both of my arms that love, love, love Bingo. Never heard of it? Impossible!
Cristiano Ronaldo is not only a fan of the game but he also claims that bingo has helped him to better his English. The last singer in the world we would guess enjoys Bingo is Robbie Williams, but it’s true. Prince William, Kate Moss, Courtney Cox and Bono are just a few more names off a long list of bingo lovers. You can play bingo online and see for yourself if Robbie, William and the others are on to a good thing.
Russel Crowe used to be a bingo caller (that seems to be a real job not just a hobby) before Hollywood ate him up. Apparently, he made up his own lingo while calling which was not all that popular and saw the end of his calling days.
Catherine Zeta-Jones loves hosting bingo parties. She switched to the American rules of the game after her move to the U.S. The U.S. version differs in many ways from the U.K. game she grew up playing in that it has a 75-ball game card with a 5 x 5 grid containing 25 out of a possible 75 numbers. The grids have five rows, each starting with the letters of the word ‘BINGO’. Maybe the rules are a touch different but the game is the same and those that love it, can’t get enough of it.
From daggers to bingo, our favourite Is Nicolas Cage’s love of Superman. He not only owns everything he can get his hands on related to Superman but he went that one step further and named his son Kalel. Hobbies are a commitment.
And that’s Hollywood’s hobbies in a shell.
